Eli's Sports Bar is a Crossroads Disaster!

It"s been a while since I had a poor review, but Eli"s Sports Bar did not satisfy me at all!  I went into this bar that sits outside Cincinnati, on the border of Mason and West Chester, Ohio and immediately noticed a closed social grouping, so I made my way to the bar through leary eyes that seemed to be scanning me up and down.     I must say that the bartender was cute, but that"s not enough in itself by my standards.  She was also quite friendly and took my drink order in a timely manner.  The drink was $6.50, which is fair, but about a buck higher than other bars I"ve frequented.  The serving size was also a little shy of the average.  I thought to myself, "Must be trying to pay for all the rehab" and moved on.     I got my drink, a Long Island Iced Tea as usual, and started to observe.  I noticed the same redneck guys that used to trample through Crossroads still groping the women, who didn"t seem to mind (go figure).  I noticed that my drink tasted like the ice had melted from the first drink, which was a big "no no" in my book.  Then I went to the restroom, which did not have half the class as the semi-remodeled bar setting.  The restrooms were aweful to have just been redone.  No room, dirty walls, and it still reminded me of a "hole in the wall".     Needless to say, I had enough, and excused myself at first chance.  Eli"s Sports Bar and Grill get"s my coveted "YOU SUCK!" award.  If you are a biker or just a plain old "dirt in the hair" redneck, then this may be the bar for you.  If you want to watch sports with a crowd who also watches sports, then go somehwere else.

Cooking With Fats And Oils
If you are baking, in order to get the right end result, you need add some type of fat. Both fats and oils are added for flavor and tenderness. Without them, the end product will be a bland, rather hard clump. Fats are generally solid at room temperature and can be whipped to incorporate air into them. Oils cannot do this. The success of your recipe depends on using a specific type of oil or fat. The four most popular fats and oils are butter, margarine, hydrogenated vegetable shortening and cooking or flavored oils.
