Restaurant ReviewsEli's Sports Bar is a Crossroads Disaster!
It"s been a while since I had a poor review, but Eli"s Sports Bar did not satisfy me at all! Â I went into this bar that sits outside Cincinnati, on the border of Mason and West Chester, Ohio and immediately noticed a closed social grouping, so I made my way to the bar through leary eyes that seemed to be scanning me up and down. Â
Â
I must say that the bartender was cute, but that"s not enough in itself by my standards. Â She was also quite friendly and took my drink order in a timely manner. Â The drink was $6.50, which is fair, but about a buck higher than other bars I"ve frequented. Â The serving size was also a little shy of the average. Â I thought to myself, "Must be trying to pay for all the rehab" and moved on. Â
Â
I got my drink, a Long Island Iced Tea as usual, and started to observe. Â I noticed the same redneck guys that used to trample through Crossroads still groping the women, who didn"t seem to mind (go figure). Â I noticed that my drink tasted like the ice had melted from the first drink, which was a big "no no" in my book. Â Then I went to the restroom, which did not have half the class as the semi-remodeled bar setting. Â The restrooms were aweful to have just been redone. Â No room, dirty walls, and it still reminded me of a "hole in the wall". Â
Â
Needless to say, I had enough, and excused myself at first chance. Â Eli"s Sports Bar and Grill get"s my coveted "YOU SUCK!" award. Â If you are a biker or just a plain old "dirt in the hair" redneck, then this may be the bar for you. Â If you want to watch sports with a crowd who also watches sports, then go somehwere else.
