The "bottle service" is not a very recent theme of New York City night clubs. This idea was materialized many years back and it includes the clubs offering private rooms/spaces with highly priced bottle of liquor, most commonly champagne or vodka. This has set a new trend from the crowded "club life" to mini parties and private nights. The clubs like O Bar and Spy Club started this theme in the early 1990"s. Many New Yorkers believe that it had adverse effect on their original club life. Earlier the theme of "bottle service" was limited to VIP rooms in the clubs which were meant for certain clientele but later on many clubs started running on this theme to attract more customers who can afford the exorbitant price of the drinks.
To popularize this concept, the night clubs in NYC have diverted from large spaces packed with DJ"s, decks, a secluded VIP room and multiple dance floors to small spaces occupied only by the tables and booths for which prior reservation need to be done. This means spending thousands of dollars for only 2 to 3 bottles of alcohol. To increase the profit, many clubs charges hundreds to thousands of dollars for securing a table. The bottle service that would charge you thousands of dollars would cost around one-tenth of the price at a liquor store.
Although the "bottle service" is exorbitantly priced, yet it is refreshing to visit on of such clubs, especially if you are planning something special for your weekend. Once in a while every one can indulge in spending some valuable time and enjoy the adventure that the New York City brings at every turn. But before entering in any of such hotspot, its advisable to have proper details about the services and the cost of the alcohol in order to avoid any kind of hassle.
