Thanksgiving dinner can be a very time consuming task because of all of the different items that need to be cooked, prepared, chilled, baked, and so on.  Coordinating all of these different tasks can be a full time job in itself.  The important thing to remember is that you need to be able to manage your time wisely will preparing your Thanksgiving dinner otherwise you may not get everything ready on time or just the way you would like it to be.  There are some things you can do, however, to make your Thanksgiving day dinner go as a little more smoothly and according to plan.  This article will explain some of those strategies and how they can help save you time. First, the day is going to be filled with so much activity and so much responsibility on your part so it will be helpful to have everything ready the night before.  What this means is that youð€™ll want to have all of your ingredients, all of your cooking tools, all of your foods that will be involved, and anything else that you will be using that day as part of the preparation of the meal, ready to go when you need.  You donð€™t want to constantly be running out for last minute items as this will simply delay your progress and potentially your Thanksgiving dinner too. Another way that you can save yourself some time and a give yourself a little breathing room is by taking advantage of some of the great new utensils, appliances, and other cooking tools out there.  For example, you are going to be opening a lot of can goods throughout the day for different types of food items.  Deserts and side dishes quite often require ingredients that come in a can, and you have to open those cans in order to be able to use those ingredients.  The are openers that will automatically open those cans for you without you having to use a can opener to open every single one.  This will save you a ton of time.  The time it takes to carve the turkey can also be decreased by using an electric turkey carver which works much faster than using a basic knife.  Double ovens are great too because they allow you to cook multiple items at once which would save you a lot of time as well.   Finally, it would be beneficial to have a few extra hands available to help you if you have multiple tasks to complete at the same time, but canð€™t get to them yourself.  If youð€™ve got friends and family that would be willing to help you out with the little items that you could do without having to care if, then donð€™t be afraid to ask them for help.  Besides, chances are they are not going to be doing anything constructive are pretty good since they are at a family gathering. Remember, if you would like you Thanksgiving day feast to go smoothly, youð€™ll need to do a little homework by getting everything gathered and ready the night before the big dinner.  This way youð€™ll be ready to get to work right away in the morning and you wonð€™t be delayed by those last minute tasks that might pop up during the process.  Also, there are a lot of great tools out there that will help to save you time while you are working hard to get your dinner ready.  Making use of these few simple tips will hopefully help your Thanksgiving day go a little more smoothly and stress free.
