Similar to other college freshman, I was drunk the following weekend seemingly forgetting how horrendous my previous hangover was. They are never good, and we all seem to forget how awful they are in the midst of one well after they are over.

I once thought it would be fine to drink an entire case of beer, and another time, I thought it would be fine to drink an entire bottle of wine. In the Midst of a Hangover:The Moment Where You Wish You Didn"t Drink So Much
You may find that you vomit too quickly for the water you have drunk to be absorbed into your body. Of course, it was incredibly embarrassing for me if I bumped into anyone in the hall between my dorm room and the bathroom, but I knew it would have been far more embarrassing and nauseating had I not made it to the bathroom to vomit once more. If you plan to consume an enormous amount of alcohol, I suggest drinking at least a tall glass of water for every drink you consume. You may find that your body is too dehydrated to recover quickly from the water your body is allowing you to consume. A simple way to minimize your hangover symptoms is to drink a glass of orange juice. Simple chemistry will tell you that it is a "universal solvent" meaning that it will dissolve anything chemical you put in contact with it. The thought of it will almost make you vomit as well. Alone in my dorm room, I opened my eyes after a night"s sleep. Once you have had a full glass of water, you may start to vomit all of the alcohol you have consumed throughout the night.
Friends Are Important. Especially in the Midst of a Hangover
Having a cheering squad while you recover from a hangover will help you to recover quickly so you can enjoy the rest of the day. This is essential because it can be a life threatening condition if you vomit and then aspirate or inhale your vomit. This will help aid you in your recovery process. In previous sections, we discussed analyzing our drinking habits to prevent hangovers and how to treat hangovers once they have occurred. While it may seem over the top to have a friend monitor you while you recover from a hangover, I cannot stress this enough that it is absolutely essential especially when you are recovering from an obviously high amount of alcohol consumption.
After the Hangover:The Sun Has Come Out, but You Cannot Forget the Storm
You should think back to the events of the evening. Hangovers are nothing short of awful but with proper analysis of who you are as a person, and what your drinking behavior is, you can eradicate it quickly from your life. Once you have realized the mechanism for how you wound up so hung over, you must then address what worked for you in your hangover state. You should also ask yourself if you can remember the "point of no return" - that moment within your own body chemistry that tells you that you have had too much to drink. Is this an alcoholic beverage you seem to have trouble with? If so, you should plan and vow to yourself to never to drink it again.
